Welcome to the Voice Actors section! Here you'll find information about the English and Japanese voice actors for the game.
Many thanks to Maskalade for the information provided here!
Please be warned that this section may contain spoilers for the first game!

English Voice Actors

Fun fact: every male character in the game is played by Christopher Miller (except Luke) and every female character plus Luke is played by Lani Minella. Talk about talent... or budget cut! :P We jest.

Christopher Miller is English, though he lives in America. He was a producer on the eCroc' series of videogames. (I literally cannot find anything else out.)

Lani Minella is American, and has played well-known characters such as Rouge the Bat from the Sonic Adventure series, and the titular character from the Nancy Drew series. Her specialty is (alarmingly) young boys and flirtatious girls.

Japanese Voice Actors

The entirety of the Japanese cast are prolific actors in adverts and Japanese dramas. This continues into the second game, where they have comedians, talk show personalities, and a cult vocalist (Salyu) voice act as well as singing the main theme. Each character has a separate VA, unlike the English version.

Layton is voiced by You Oizumi (‘åò—m), born 1973. He is a well known drama and voice actor, and has voice acted for Studio Ghibli films such as Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. He has also released CDs.

Luke is voiced by Maki Horikita (–x–k^Šó), born 1988. Luke was her first voice acting role ? she has since gone on to voice act in the Doraemon feature film. She is a drama actress by profession, and appeared in the popular dramas eHana-Kimi' and eDensha Otoko'.
In Hana-Kimi, she plays the main female role, while Oguri Shun (the seiyuu of older Luke) plays the main male rolec (Oh dear.)

Flora (Aroma) is voiced by Mamiko Noto (”\“o–ƒ”üŽq), born 1980. She is often typecast to play soft spoken, feminine characters, making her perfect for Flora. She's a pretty well-known voice actor, with important roles in Satoshi Kon's eParanoia Agent' and Ken Akamatsu's eMahou Sensei Negima'.

Don Paolo is played by Minoru Inaba (ˆî—tŽÀ), born 1951. He has done voice-acting work for games such as Kingdom Hearts II and Soul Calibur III. Ironically, he also played a villain called eSilk Hat' (Japanese borrowing for etop hat') in Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z.

Chelmey is played by Shirou Saitou (Ö“¡Žu˜Y), born 1956. He also works in anime and game dubbing, particularly Japanese dubs of Western franchises ? he provided the Japanese dubbing for Hagrid in Harry Potter. He tends to play more secondary roles in Japanese anime.
